Well, since I have already admitted that I have no willpower when it comes to scrapping supplies, here are the pictures to prove it!

That kitty stamp is their logo, and the very image of our Shoe.

Just to prove my point (and because I love this picture) here is Shoe:

This was taken about 2 months ago when I first got my digital SLR.  Love this photo of him -- I love how this new camera catches the actual color of their eyes, instead of turning it that frightening yellow green glow!

Obviously, we have more in the store, but these were my  "can't live without them, have to have them before they even hit the floor" picks.

the pictures just don't do them justice!  they have really great paper with huge numbers on them too, and lots of fun boy paper.  Can't wait to see what their summer CHA release will look like.

Speaking of which, we will be in Chicago July 15-17th, checking out all the new releases and ordering lots of new stuff.  As soon as we start seeing sneak peeks, I will post them here!

I'm in trouble now....

Ok, so I have no willpower when it comes to scrapping supplies.  There were all the fun new 7 Gypsies books yesterday (envelope book, file folder book, board book....) and the fun rubons....and the new Creative Impressions ribbons.....and the Rusty Pickle freedom papers........

But now, I get the call from mom-- the Urban Lily papers and the Catslife Press stamps are in.

OIY.  I am going to be in BIG trouble if I ever have to abide by a scrapping budget.

I'm so excited to see the stuff, I can hardle wait for the workday to be over!!!!!!

For those of you with cats...

You understand that it very difficult to photograph a cat.  Especially one that is 11 years old, and does not want to be photographed.

So, my indoor kitty Cobb (who is the intelligent one of the pair) has figured out where the outdoor catnip is growing.  So now, every time you try to walk out the back door, he wants to take a trip over to the drug mart for some 'nip. 

It's still new, so it's sort of amusing. I decide to bring my camera so I can try (in vain) to get a few shots.

So, I am somewhat pleased when I get this one.

Apparently sweet kitty preparing to chow down on a little bit of kitty narcotic.

But then, my crazy "geriatric" (according the vet) cat decides that 'nip and peppermint are not enough.  We bypass the lavendar, thymes, rosemary, basil, and sage--- and make a beeline towards the garlic chives. 

Now I have to shoot in "kitty of the jungle" mode.  I am surprised to get an action shot:

If you have ever tried to take a kitty photo, the tongue shot is very elusive.

So imagine my utter shock, and rolls of laughter when I see this one (totally unplanned, of course, because one could never plan to get this shot):

Now, there may only be three people in the world that love and laugh at this picture (my hubby, my mom, and me)-- but I LOVE this picture.

See, cats are not dogs-- their tongues do not hang out.  EVER.

And to get an action shot of a cat trying to take down a garlic chive, well, that's just....priceless.

Or maybe it's just me.

I finished it!

OK, so I was still finishing it in the car, on the way to the party, but I finished it!

I was very happy with how it turned out, and everyone really enjoyed reading it at Grandma Kamman's 90th birthday party . (Though there is still a space on the front cover where I need to add a "90"-- forgot to grab it in our rush!)

I could not get enough pictures to do a real "this is your life" album, but she is a big history buff, so I did a two page layout for each decade of her life, including events in her life, the world, and Detroit.

YEAH!!! It's Friday!!!!

It's been a crazy week, and I decided on Monday that even though we are not doing gifts, I had to do something for Grandma Kamman's 90th birthday....and as usual, I never manage to come up with a quick and easy project.  No, I come up with the elaborate, takes all week and I'm still not done project.

But it is looking pretty cool.  I have HOURS of work to do on it tonight, but I bascially made an album of things that happened in each of her 10 decades, both in the world and in her life.  Unfortunately, I have not had a lot of luck getting photos, so none of those, but I am thinking I may leave space to add some later. We'll see how fast things go tonight!

I will definitely post some pictures when it's done so you can check it out!

Oh!  And in store we mostly received restocks on stuff, but there is another order of silent setters and We R Memory Keepers albums, for those who have been waiting for them.  And we ordered the Z Becky Brown acrylic purses and Cats Life Press Rubber Stamps, so I will put those up as soon as they arrive in store!

1. What is your occupation/job? day job- site manager for staffing group at Visteon; night & weekend job- scrapper :)

2. What color are your underwear? today, it's pink

3. What was the last thing you ate?  dulche de leche hershey's kiss...I don't even LIKE white chocolate and these are yummy.....

4. Do you wish on stars? occasionally

5. If you were a crayon, what color would you be?  blue-green or green-blue-- I always thought it was odd to have two crayons in the box with those names.

6. How is the weather right now? 90 and humid

7. Last person you spoke to on the phone?  my hubby :)

8. Do you like the person who sent this to you? of course!

9. Would you say no and send this back to her? that is an odd question, since I am obviously answering the survey (who wrote this thing?!)

10. How old are you today?   31 since last week

11. Favorite drink? of the adult beverage variety, the Spring Fling (white rum, lime juice, and tonic); of the non-adult variety, Jones cream soda

12. Favorite sport to watch?  hockey (if I can remember watching hockey) or basketball

13. Have you ever dyed your hair?  not completely.  Tried the highlight thing with Sun-in in 7th grade, but I've never back (and yes, the weird blond highlights behind my ears are natural!!!!)

14. Do you wear contacts or glasses?  only glasses, no more contacts for me :(

20. What do you do to vent anger?  complain (I would actually use a different word, but I am trying to be polite.)

22. Fall or Spring?  both, but spring edges out fall by a nose...it's so much fun to see the bulbs pop up in the garden!

24. Cherry or Blueberry?  OK, if we are talking actually cherries or blueberries, then my answer is both, I really can't choose.  If it's an artifical version of them, then neither, they are gross.

29. When was the last time you cried?  hmmmm...can't recall....I'm not really the crying sort... ask Ken, he'd remember, he gets pretty freaked out if I cry, so he'd probably remember...but it's been a couple of months at least...

32. What did you do last night? scrapped - finished the class samples (see below).

40. How many years at your current job?  yikes....this one hurts to admit....9 years....

2 new class samples done~

it's late, and I should be in bed, but I decided I would post 2 new class samples that I made today - one is a new baby accordian book (with the new 7 gypsies baby stickers) and the other is a girlfriends book-- dates are TBD, probably in July.
